Developed Crysis Wars Environment Fraps Captures
The two chosen clients for this bridge project were Angela Merkel (white space) and Miranda Kerr (purple space), both of whom are recognised as modern day women of power. However, the power that they hold is very different, Merkel has the ability to instigate change and is powerful as an individual, whereas Kerr achieves her control indirectly, through influence upon others.

As shown in the image above Merkel's office consists of a series of clean lines and sharp shapes symbolic of her strength as a female politician. Drawing from the ideas of characteristic complexity and confidence identified in the "Mash-up" this form is a physical representation of these ideas. This a direct contrast to Kerr's smooth and flowing lines representative through her secondary claim to power. Height is also used in this scheme to convey the balance of power, Merkel is elevated slightly above Kerr as she has greater authority control over others.

This image draws attention to the angular texture applied to Merkel's floor space, reinforcing the understanding of power established in the crystalline structure. The use of black and white adds a distinct harshness to the aesthetic conveying her strength and decisive abilities as a politician. The elevator displayed in this view is also a continuation of the ideas evoked by the greater form of this structure.

As shown in the image above Merkel's office consists of a series of clean lines and sharp shapes symbolic of her strength as a female politician. This a direct contrast to Kerr's smooth and flowing lines representative through her secondary claim to power. Height is also used in this scheme to convey the balance of power, Merkel is elevated slightly above Kerr as she has greater authority control over others.

The central span of this bridge also dealt with the intrinsic link binding power and risk. In this relationship of two clients, Merkel is superior in terms of power, however, is subject to greater risk. Thus her space is suspended upon a steep cliff, overlooking the ocean and exposed to that natural elements. The large glass windows also reveal the interior to sunlight, which is in essence, nature's primary source of power, again tying back to Merkel's ability to control.
Unlike Merkel's office, Kerr's space rests upon the side of a mountain which works to support for the structure. This spaces, like Kerr, is in a position of minimal risk but also is bounded by those surrounding her, reducing her ability to attain power. This space also has a deceivingly large exterior to emulate the acceptance of her power by the general public, but then draws upon her reality of inability through the comparatively smaller interior space. A similar sentiment is mirrored in the "Mash-up" as Kerr identifies herself as a person like any other, willing to compromise when the situation sees fit. There are also few windows in this design, extending upon the metaphor of solar power estabilished in Merkel's design.

Similarly the texture applied in the image above, inspired by rotational motion mirrors that of the overall form. The softer colour choice also works towards conveying Kerr's lack of direct power and inability to truly dominate. Once again the lift also bears a similar aesthetic to the building carrying over the dynamic of power between these two clients.
Landform in Sandbox - Draft 2
The following images display draft 2 of my valley landform in Sandbox. During this second attempt I developed upon the initial shape to create a more realistic effect, using the layer painter tool to create the snow like aesthetic and importing volume clouds. Whilst testing the landform I also experimented with the lifts and the effects of different heights on our perception of power.
